Tenth Street Pasta & Pizza

On the menu it said that the pizza was well done and I was like ok! It's not a steak I'll order but ok. Lol! When they brought it, the well done it was that it is so toasted and crispy that it’s almost burnt. i mean they are levels of toast no? but here they take it to the level of burning. Nothing, if you want to eat burn crackers with cheese and sauce go here. These is not my ideal pizza!!! Also service must improve 🤦🏻‍♀️

Being a Montrealer, we love having pizza in NY or NJ. Because we watched a YouTube video recommending this place, we decided, since we were in the area, to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Margherita pizza with half of it with anchovies. Wow! The slice did not flop but held up well when eating it with your hands. The crust was thin and had the perfect amount of crunch. Not greasy even with a combination of mozzarella and Grano Padano cheese. The pie contained the perfect amount of tomato sauce with only a hint of fresh basil. Don't forget to BYOB it. If in Hoboken, I highly recommend this place. Parking is tough so be prepared to walk.

Another spot I've finally been able to make it to. Whenever people talk about the best pizza in Hoboken, Tenth St. is always mentioned. Expectations were high, but the pizza was really good. I got a classic with mushrooms. Was delicious. Crust was just crispy enough. Good balance of toppings - including some shaved parmesan & basil. Maybe a hint of olive oil? Good stuff. I personally prefer slice joints for the sole reason that I can just get 2 slices and be good to go. What happens with full pie spots is I just absolutely devour any pizza that the rest of my family does not eat. And that is dangerous to my waistline. We ate about half while we were there, and I housed the rest somehow later that evening. Ah, what a sad state my self control is in these days. But yeah, fantastic pizza, staff was nice. A nice woman came out from the kitchen to check on us and was super kind to my daughter. Then I made a bad bald joke and she escaped back to the kitchen. It happens more often than you think. Overall, great spot, that's unfortunately only open after 4pm on weekdays, earlier on weekends (updated after owner response, thx for the correction). Hope I can find an opportunity to come again with a slightly larger group.

I may be out to lunch, but this week was the first time someone recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. I had no idea this place even existed, and they literally get an 11/10 on this pizza. My boyfriend, myself, and his roommate all split this square pie and it was plenty, could have even added a 4th person to split it with. The crust is super crispy and cheesy, there is no such thing as getting a non desirable slice. I’m usually a corner person through and through, but I actually ended up eating 2 middle pieces. They also give this red pepper flake and extra virgin olive oil drizzle on the side and it truly elevated this pizza to next level. You can taste the quality of every ingredient and accompaniment, I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu here, truly a gem!

Second time getting take out at this place. Wanted to give it another chance after a lackluster initial experience. Ordered square pizza at $40 per pizza. Both times overcooked and extremely difficult to even bite a piece off, although second time was significantly worse. I’ve never eaten a pizza where the dough was so tough that it was even a struggle for a grown man to bite a piece off and chew it. Such a shame. Avoid at all costs. Much better options in Hoboken

There are number of negatives here, but I'll name the most important one. I love my pizzas but this the worse I've ever tasted in a restaurant. Our table ordered 2 pies. Both came out with burnt edges and the rest is the most oil laden piece of dough you'll ever eat. I don't ever wanna eat pizza here again even if they're giving it away.
